Poonam Soni, a fashion designer from vogue institute of fashion technology Bangalore, comes from a very small town rohtak, in the state of Haryana.

She inherited her love for design from her father a renowned and passionate jewelry designer and discipline and patience from her mother.

She started “RANGYA” about 6 years ago, coloring it with her parent’s initials (Ranbir and Gayatri). For her designing is not earned by acquiring degrees and certificates but interests, passion and love for the craft with an immense sense of accountability to see it reaches to the last person who is as beautiful.

She is more into creating Indian Ethnic Wear with infusing elements of rural handicraft with a nice touch of traditional aari work. Her focus while designing an outfit for a client or a collection for a major event is to see the beauty and rich flavors, colors of indian cultural heritage shines through to inspire youth.

Avanti is a story of avanti and her sakhis from mauryan era, animated, sensuous, full of life, celebrating scent of soil after first rain singing folk songs in their effortless traditional attire bringing out the essence of earthy tones weaved together with hand embroidered lotus and chakra motifs and metal work inspired by mauryan iron age fused with zardozi, cut dana, beads and thread work.

The hand crafted accessories and jewelry especially designed for the collection takes us back to centuries old wealth of colour, culture, creativity and craft.
